TITLE OF POSITION
: Secretary
OFFICE : Regional Financial Management Office (RFMO)
GRADE :
FSN-6
EDUCATION : Completion of Secondary School required. University Degree preferred. Formal secretarial training preferred.
EXPERIENCE :
Two to three years of progressively responsible secretarial experience. One year work with an international development organization desirable.
DUTIES :

Types a variety of documents and correspondence, handwritten including telegrams and statistical reports. In the absence of the Lead Secretary, maintains the RFMO document tracking system, Time and Attendance staff, assists Controller in his / her day-to-day functions. Logs all vouchers received for payments for India and for Sri Lanka (approx. 3500 vouchers a year). Handles all correspondence relating to log-in of vouchers including informing vendors of receipt in case of e-mail invoices and / or obtaining additional information from vendors. Calculates per diem for simple travel vouchers. Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

LANGUAGE :
Level IV (fluent) English proficiency is required.
ABILITY &  SKILLS :
Applicants should be able to type 40 wpm and have the ability to take dictation. Word processing and analytic computer skills are essential. Excellent inter-personal skills are required.

Employees in probationary status or with less than a year of USG service are not eligible to apply.  Employees desiring a change after the initial probation period will be required to be in their present position for not less than 120 days.

The selected individual will be compensated in accordance with the Local
Compensation Plan for FSN employees.  Starting salary and grade will be
determined on the basis of qualifications, work experience and/or highest
previous salary.  It is the policy of the United States government to ensure
