Conflict-Related Publications

  • Conflict Assessments
CMM works with USAID’s missions to perform in-depth conflict assessments, which result in the production of comprehensive reports that map out destabilizing patterns and trends in specific developing countries and include recommendations about how development programs can be structured to better address these trends. Using an innovative conflict-assessment framework developed by the Office, CMM has conducted assessments in over 20 countries to date.

  • Toolkits
CMM is developing packages of technical assistance in a number of critical focus areas that have been shown to be contributing causes of conflict. These will provide USAID missions with access to concrete, practical program options, lessons learned, and options for partners, mechanisms and monitoring and evaluation tools for implementing more effective conflict programs.

  • Other USAID and USAID-Supported Publications
Documents focusing on development issues within the context of conflict.

  • External Publications
An essential reading list for the development practitioner concerned with conflict-sensitive programming.
