Washington, DC - The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) will host a high-level technical consultation on orphans and children affected by HIV/AIDS from November 3-5, 2003. On Monday, November 3rd several world renowned experts (see list below) on HIV/AIDS will focus on the magnitude of the problem, global strategic approaches, principles for implementation, and programming issues. This technical consultation will review the current research on orphans and vulnerable children around the world, share promising approaches and programs, and help to determine a course for an increased response to HIV/AIDS-affected children.
