Periodically, USAID/Honduras recruits for a limited number of local positions. Announcements of available positions are posted in the local newspapers and on this webpage for a period of approximately two weeks. Minimum qualifications vary according to the position and are specified in the vacancy announcement.

Applications are screened initially to ensure that basic qualifications are met for the specific vacancy announcement. Following the screening, selected applicants are requested to take English and pertinent occupational tests. Qualified applicants are invited for a personal interview with a selection panel. Candidates are evaluated on their academic credentials, related professional experience, technical knowledge and relevant skills.

Upon completion of all the interviews, final selections are made and pre-employment procedures are initiated for selected candidates. The complete recruitment process, which includes a medical and security clearance, can take from two to three months.

All applicants are notified in writing of the selection results.
