USAID's Preparations for 2007 Atlantic Hurricane Season in Latin America and the Caribbean

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) will hold a press conference concerning the 2007 hurricane season preparations. USAID's Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) will provide an update on its ongoing preparations and the disaster response capabilities of the Agency. USAID-funded contingencies for emergencies, direct-action responses, and risk-management training programs for disaster response officials will also be discussed.
