The U.S. Government Provides $1.9 Million to NGO for Humanitarian Assistance in Lebanon

WASHINGTON, DC - The United States Government (USG), through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), has provided $1.9 million to the International Medical Corps (IMC) for emergency relief assistance in Lebanon. Specifically, the IMC will provide those in need with health services, psychosocial support for affected youth, water and sanitation activities, and emergency relief supplies.

The U.S. Government has pledged an initial $30 million in immediate humanitarian assistance to victims of the conflict in Lebanon. More than $22 million has been contributed to date for logistics, water and sanitation, health services, emergency relief supplies, transportation, and support for U.N. efforts to coordinate relief activities among the humanitarian community.
