Family Planning Services

USAID supports voluntary family planning programs that enhance individuals' ability to choose the number and spacing of births, provide critical health benefits for women and their children, and contribute to more rapid social and sustainable economic development. The Agency's programs provide individuals with affordable access to basic reproductive health services, a wide range of contraceptive methods from which to choose, and information and education about safe and responsible family planning. Among key areas of work: birth spacing, counseling, contraceptive method mix, and awareness building.
