Mission:
The overall mission includes: (1) Research effort to discover unique vulnerabilities in the insect life cycle that can become basis for new pest control strategies (focus on the chemistry, behavior, ecology, biochemistry and molecular genetics of major pests); (2) developing knowledge and technology for the management of arthropods of medical and veterinary importance; (3) increasing plant productivity/agricultural yield, depending upon genetic potential and stresses in the environment.
