  • Eurasia Foundation: A privately managed grantmaking organization dedicated to funding programs that build democratic and free market institutions in the twelve New Independent States (NIS) of the former Soviet Union -- Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
  • International Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ICNL): An international expert organization providing technical assistance on a global basis to facilitate and support the development of civil society and freedom of association. Its mission is to assist the creation and improvement of laws and regulatory systems that permit, encourage, and regulate the growth of voluntary, independent, not-for-profit organizations in countries around the world, inlcuding the five Central Asian Republics. ICNL began its work in Central Asia in 1995.
