ELECTRONIC BID ENTRY SYSTEM TRAINING

September 27, 2006

The U.S. Agency for International Development, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (Foreign Agricultural Service, and Farm Service Agency - Commodity Operations) releases the following information regarding Freight Bid Entry System (FBES) training and Export Bid Entry System (EBES) training for all ocean carriers, cooperating sponsors or their forwarders, and commodity vendors involved in food aid related exports.

FBES training will be held during three days, November 1 - 3, in the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D. C. The first two days will serve as separate ocean carrier training days, with the third day reserved for cooperating sponsors or their forwarders.

The EBES training will similarly be held over three days, November 6 - 8, at the Kansas City Commodity Office in Kansas City, Missouri. Ocean carriers and commodity vendors may indicate their choice of day to attend, and KCCO will do their best to accommodate this choice. You will find additional information, links to the registration forms, which are due no later than Tuesday, October 10, general visitor information, and access instructions for the training locations on these websites. There are a limited number of computer terminals at the training facilities.
