Extension of Container Loading Protocol Pilot Program

Attention: All Steamship Lines Participating in P.L. 480 Title II Food Aid Shipments

Subject: CAPIT Pilot Container Loading Protocol for Bagged Beans and Corn

This notice is to advise ocean carriers that the pilot container loading protocol will be extended indefinitely for containerized bagged beans and bagged whole corn. The loading protocol is also extended on a case-by-case basis to include other P.L. 480 Title II program countries in the Southern Africa and Horn of Africa regions.

The CAPIT committee also plans to meet in the near future to review results from previous shipments.
