Title
Premiere for movie Recovery Happens in Brown County
Description
Brown County Human Services has produced a new movie interviewing 5 residents about their recovery; what their life was like before they got sober, what was their breaking point, what resources they used, how their life has changed since they got sober, and how they help other's to achieve sobriety. Brown County used funds from a Pakcer Golf Outing fund raiser to produce the movie w/ COM-Video. We plan to give away free copies of the movie to all middle and high schools in brown county and all treatment providers as well as any community organization or church who has interest in showing the movie. A teachers discussion guide, a student quiz, and a consumer satisfactions survey will be given to all organizations and schools, with a copy of the movie. I will also be offering to present the movie to any school or organization who would like me to come and lead a discussion. The premiere will be a launch of the movie with the hope that people who see it will talk about it and encourage their organizations to take advantage of the free movie. We will be serving appetizers and non-alcoholic punch prior to showing the movie. We hope to have at least 400 people attend, but as we get closer we will have a better read on how many. We have the capacity for 1000. The video is about 15 minutes long.
