Honoring and Serving America's Veterans in Need
Description
As America's veterans return from the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, some of these brave men and women and their families will need help. Exposed to the horrors of battle in an environment that is foreign and unfriendly have put many of America's sons and daughters at risk for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our veterans who are in need of help in these areas deserve treatment and support from every American who enjoys the daily freedoms offered to them. This year, Steppingstone's Recovery Month Celebration will be dedicated to honoring our nation's veterans and the beginning an outreach effort to a no wrong door approach into our treatment facilities. Guests will include veterans from Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf War and our current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, those who have completed treatment, local, state and national political figures and professional athletes who will honor our nation's finest. In addition, those currently in treatment at our programs and their families will join us in saluting our national heroes.
