Title	Iowa Recovery Month Celebration–SAMHSA Sponsored
Description	The event will start with a rally at the State Capitol with registration, speakers and the proclamation. Those in recovery who wish to identify themselves will line up to indicate their recovery years as the "stair steps to recovery." Then everyone will walk to Union Park (less than a mile) to where there will be games, clowns, food, and fun for all in and around the West Union Shelter. Later, 12-step support meetings will be available for those interested. Even the Heritage Carousel will be operating up unitl 8 p.m.

Program Agenda	1:00 p.m. Opening Ceremony at the Iowa State Capitol Speaker, Dr. Westley Clark Voices for Recovery Walk to Union Park 2:00 p.m. Activities at the Park - Saturday Night Alive Band - Games and family activities - Prevention booths/activities - Refreshments will be served-until gone - Heritage Carousel will be operating 3:00 p.m. Guest Speaker Dick Farrell, "Recovery: What it has meant for me." 3:45 p.m. Treatment alumni will hold "open meetings" 4:45 p.m. Closing Ceremony - Prize drawings will be announced, need to be present to win - Clean up the park game with prizes for those who participate.
