TV equipment and rubble lie in the grounds of the Iraqi Media Network in central Baghdad. The facility suffered damage from coalition bombing in the war as well as looting afterwards. The network has been broadcasting independent TV since 12 May, 2003 for an average of 3 hours a day. USAID is funding refurbishment of the facilities and supply of air conditioning, telecommunications and office equipment. |
