As part of civic participation program in Pushchino, Russia, 60 teens volunteered their time to help single pensioners and World War II veterans prepare for winter. The USAID-supported “We Are Responsible for Our City” program, implemented by the Replication of Lessons Learned (ROLL) project and the Pushchino Youth Center, organizes youth groups to be trained by utility firms in the basics of winterizing doors and windows.  After surveying the condition of entrances to 90 buildings in the city, the teens were dispatched on repair assignments.
