Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee LECC MISSION STATEMENT
To improve cooperation and coordination among law enforcement groups thereby enhancing the effectiveness of the criminal justice system; to provide training opportunities for law enforcement that enables them to increase and maintain a professional edge in the performance of their duties for the battle against criminal activity; and to foster the spirit of law enforcement brotherhood so that law enforcement personnel at all levels accept each other as the professionals they are and should be.
Law Enforcement Coordinator
William Allen Love serves as the Law Enforcement Coordinator for the Eastern District of Kentucky. Prior to coming to the U.S. Attorney's Office in May 2007, Love retired from the Versailles Kentucky Police Department where he served as Chief of Police for 12 years. Most recently, Love worked at the Kentucky Office of Drug Control Policy.
Love's extensive law enforcement background also includes working for the Richmond Kentucky Police Department where he attained the rank of Assistant Police Chief. Love is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Eastern Kentucky University and a certified police instructor for the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council. He was named Police Chief of the Year in 1999 and received the Governor’s Award for Outstanding Contribution to Kentucky law Enforcement in 2002.
