How do we ensure the delivery of the right amount of fresh water - at the right time and of good quality - to sustain and enhance coastal waters?Poster presented May 1999, at the South Florida Restoration Science Forum By: Carole Goodyear, Tom Fontaine, and Joan Browder
The six coastal areas highlighted in the "Coastal Ecosystems" pages are: 1) the St. Lucie Estuary, 2) Biscayne Bay, 3) Florida Bay, 4) the Florida Keys, 5) Southwest Florida, and the 6) Caloosahatchee Estuary. These estuaries vary from wilderness areas (e.g., The 10,000 Islands of Southwest Florida) to urban areas (e.g., the Caloosahatchee adjacent to Fort Myers and Cape Coral, and Biscayne Bay adjacent to Miami).
