GUMP facilities include:
Computers: SUN, Windows, LINUX, and Mac platforms.
Equipment: 6 Lacost&Romberg and 1 Scintrex high-precision gravity meters, 2 Cesium magnetometers, 4 proton-precession magnetometers, truck-towed magnetometer system, 5 field susceptibility meters, paleomagnetic field sampling equipment, and a fleet of 5 field vehicles.
Labs: Rock preparation lab, Paleomagnetics lab.
Software:
Oasis Montaj – mapping software for processing, visualizing and analyzing potential field datasets.
GMSYS – three-dimensional interactive potential field modeling software program for inverse and forward problems.
EarthVision – three-dimensional geologic model building and visualization software.
In addition, we carry a wide range of other in-house and commercially developed software packages for processing and displaying geologic and potential-field data.
