FORT Communications and Outreach

Research Task: 832700S.1.0
Task Manager: Michele Banowetz

FORT conducts research and develops technical applications to assist land managers and natural resource decision makers in understanding and managing biological resources and systems. The outreach task provides communications services to identify communication needs and develop materials that inform clients, partners, policymakers, and the interested public of the Center’s research, activities, and services. To ensure that FORT science reaches those who need to know about it, we work with the popular media, develop and market Web features, conduct outreach in the community, and promote opportunities for collaboration. We also employ Web analytics and other means to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies between FORT and its partners and clients.
