Purpose
To collect nearshore bathymetry at a "winter" beach using a
second generation coastal profiling system and to collect winter
surface sediment samples and map the topography of the beach using
clammer -6 wheel drive amphibious all-terrain vehicle at
Ocean Shores, WA.
Information to be Derived
Nearshore bathymetry/morphology, grain size, beach topography
Summary
Collected 16 lines of bathymetry from approximately 15 meters water depth
through the surf-zone perpendicular to the beach at Ocean Shores, WA.
Surface sediment grab samples were also collected.
Topography data for surface map of beach was collected.
Notes
Second Generation Coastal Profiling System (specially equipped
Waverunners) and Clammer (6 wheel drive amphibious all-terrain vehicle).
