Firms that establish workplace education programs and reorganize work report noticeable improvements in their workers' abilities and the quality of the products. This article provides results from surveys conducted in 1992 on the incidence of workplace education programs and reorganization of work strategies implemented in manufacturing and nonmanufacturing firms.
