Biodiversity conservation and sustainable forestry are vital for the prosperity and security of all nations. Recognizing this, USAID supports forestry and biodiversity activities in 50 countries around the world, and in FY 2007, the Agency invested a record $183.7 million toward biodiversity and almost $97 million in sustainable forestry. This report provides USAID’s partners and the public with a summary of the Agency’s latest approaches, activities, and results.
