What's New

2005 Annual ASHA Workshop

The 2005 Annual ASHA Workshop sponsored by PVC-ASHA was held May 23-25, 2005 at the Holiday Inn Select Old Town in Alexandria, Virginia. The Workshop was attended by over 105 grantees in addition to several PVC-ASHA and USAID staff.

Overview

This year's three-day workshop provided ASHA grantees with an overview of USAID along with useful information regarding ASHA grant implementation activities. The first day was geared towards new or nearly new ASHA grantees and was designed to provide general information about USAID and an overview of ASHA procedures and practices. The second and third days provided more in-depth information regarding grant reporting requirements and performance management plans. These sessions were conducted in smaller groups to enable discussion. The final afternoon of the workshop provided an opportunity for grantees to meet with ASHA program staff to answer specific questions. Opportunities for informal peer exchange and networking were provided throughout the workshop.
