ISPRS WG IV/9: PREPRINTS

ReadMe.txt
Available here in different formats is a preprint version of the final version of the "Report of the IAU/IAG Working Group on Cartographic Coordinates and Rotational Elements of the Planets and Satellites: 2000," by P. K. Seidelmann, et al., now published in Celestial Mechanics and Dynamical Astronomy, 82, pp. 83-110, 2002. The published version of course now has precedence over the version available here.

Also note corrections to the text of the preprint and published paper:

1. "Note that the numbers in Tables I, II, and III are on the time scale TDB, not TCB as given in the heading" (P. K. Seidelman letter to B. Archinal, of 2002 February 20).

2. In Table II, page 87, for the Moon, for “0.1204 E2”, read “0.1204 sin E2”. Added 2006 February 17.

The files included here are:

B. Archinal prepared this preprint version of the report, with the kind permission of K. Seidelmann. It was prepared by taking the draft LaTeX format version of 2001 August 20 and updating it using a photocopy of the final (marked up) proof of the paper, as received from Seidelmann on 2001 December 17. Note that there are minor variations in the font size and in the way continued tables have been broken between this preprint version and the final proof version. This has also caused the pagination to differ between the two versions. However, the contents, i.e. the actual text, should otherwise be identical.
