World Environment Day - June 5, 2004

World Environment Day, established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1972, is celebrated each year on June 5 in order to stimulate global awareness of the environment and to raise political consciousness and action.

The Office of Population and Reproductive Health is using this commemoration to spotlight some of our activities in environmental health.
