| Youth Democracy Festivals Draw Over 140,000 |

 Over 69,000 young people attended a U.S.-funded Youth Festival at Kampong Cham’s football stadium on July 18-19. The Kampong Cham event was the final in a series of eight Youth Festivals held since April 2006, attracting a total of 142,000 youth in provinces throughout the country. | High School Student Wins Youth Leadership Challenge |

 Chhem Pe, a 19-year-old high school student from Siem Reap, won the fifth season of the Youth Leadership Challenge television show on Wednesday, July 1. Pe became the youngest winner in the competition’s history when he beat Kem “Emmy” Sotheathangdy, a 22-year-old student from Battambang.

| Ministry of Justice Launches USAID-funded IT Systems and Training Course |

 USAID launched a training program on June 30 that will orient Ministry of Justice officials in a series of new information systems designed to increase the efficiency, transparency and accountability of the judiciary.
