I will not pretend that I am an expert on this issue. However, I am able to see the inconsistency. Obviously, it is, "how is that naked short selling in financials is a detriment to their industry, whereas naked short selling in other sectors is not at all open to scrutiny and is therefore quite ok all because conveniently, the regulators are looking the other way.
I am just ordinary guy Joe Q. Public but I think I would be representative of a growing cynicism if these and other moral hazard issues are not straightened out. With honesty and hard work most things are possible but with dishonesty etc. everything will eventually fall apart. Guaranteed.
Some of the most vulnerable companies in the junior mining sector presently are victims of naked short selling. Who can they turn to?
