Among the various strategies that IFESH has identified for the productive engagement of the youth is the promotion of basketball in addition to skills training. IFESH is using basketball as an "entry point” for productive youth engagement and peace building.
On August 17 – 22, over forty educators from around the U.S. gathered in Phoenix Arizona prior to their departure for sub-Saharan Africa. They volunteered to take part in an International Educators for Africa program, which began 17 years ago.
In the spirit of service, the Rotary Club of Haddonfield, New Jersey, donated $1,000 to IFESH-Côte d'Ivoire at their weekly luncheon on August 27th.
