About A Broader View Volunteers

A Broader View Volunteers was created on the idea that one person can make a difference. We offer a range of affordable international service projects with the opportunity for cultural immersion abroad.

ABV looks for, and collaborates with small non-profit organizations and humanitarian institutions that lack the means to recruit volunteers. An extensive amount of research and time go into each program to ensure the best quality and safety of our destinations, accommodations and projects. Project sites, housing and host families are continuously monitored. ABV screens volunteers, assists with project selection, provides travel planning advice and is responsible for reliable customer service. Quite simply, we do all the legwork. We coordinate all the details and provide wide-ranging support, then send volunteers to projects where they are needed. In the meantime, ABV serves as your advocate - and is here to provide you with the most fulfilling, life changing travel experience possible.

ABV offers affordable program fees. We strive to offer all people the opportunity to live and work abroad, to experience life from a different point of view and have a life-changing experience.

International Voluntary Service Activities

We offer international volunteer projects for the globally-minded individual searching for a unique travel experience. A Broader View is a non-profit international volunteer organization offering short and long term volunteer programs in developing countries around the World. Our volunteer abroad projects are available year round in Central America, South America, Asia and Africa in 13 countries, 34 locations and 130 programs. Our projects range from 1 week to 6 month placements. Volunteer opportunities include orphanage assistance, teaching English, medical and dental missions, HIV/Aids awareness campaigns, woman's issues, animal welfare, environmental and animal conservation and community development constructions programs.

Our projected estimate for 2008 is 120 volunteers traveling overseas with us. We anticipate sending 150-200 volunteers abroad each year. As our volunteer locations grow, so too will our project options. Since we tailor each project for our volunteers, a lot of and effort goes into each individual program. Our focus is more about quality projects, rather than mass numbers.
