About Multicultural Council of America
Promotes better understanding, peace & harmony among all cultures & citizens of all nations.
Provides volunteers for education & health services within the United States and around the World.
Goal: to set up local chapters in all U.S. states and all countries.
International Voluntary Service Activities
As the Multicultural Council's first foreign mission, it has affiliated with Alianza Nacional Contra La Pobreza (National Alliance Against Poverty) in the Caribbean country of Dominican Republic. It is offering seminars on education, teaching skills for self-employment, especially of women and hopes to set up a micro-credit facility, if resources will permit.
It is also associated with AAA Centros De Salud (AAA Health Centers) a private, non-profit hospital to provide healthcare services to the children, women and elderly. It serves both Dominicans as well as thousands of Haitians who have fled their homeland because of continuous violence.
The Multicultural Council, with its limited resources, is unable to provide its services to other parts of the world. However, if it expands its volunteer base and funds become available, it hopes to expand into Africa, Asia, Latin America and other parts of the Caribbean as well as in the Middle East.
