Tips for Safe and Sober Workplace Parties (Thursday, December 7, 2006) With the holiday season upon us, employers have an opportunity to send a safe and sober message about workplace parties and drinking. In that spirit, the Department of Labor's Working Partners for an Alcohol- and Drug-Free Workplace program is offering a valuable online resource to help employers adopt a safe and responsible approach to their workplace celebrations. Featuring tips for planning sober work events, alcohol traffic safety facts, and state-specific driving law information, this helpful Web site addresses steps employers can take during the holiday season-and all year round-to help prevent impaired driving in their communities.
