The USGS IPY Kickoff Event

On Friday, March 30, 2007, the USGS held an International Polar Year kickoff event at USGS Headquarters in Reston, Virginia. More than 100 people attended the kickoff, which included several speakers, a panel of scientists involved in polar research, and the unveiling of the USGS’s poster commemorating the IPY. You can look through a variety of material presented and created at the event below — more items will be added soon, so check back periodically.
