Environmental Justice Grants Program

Useful Links

The Environmental Justice (EJ) Small Grants Program is designed specifically to address EJ concerns and issues.  For information about other Region 4 grant programs, visit Grants and Financial Assistance.

In 1992, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) established the Office of Environmental Justice to help communities identify and assess pollution sources, to implement environmental awareness and training programs, and to work with communities to develop strategies for environmental improvements.  Community groups and tribes use EJ Small Grants funds to develop new programs or improve existing projects that address these EJ objectives.
