CPSC, Lands' End, Inc., Announce Recall of Little Kids' Parkas
PRODUCT: Parkas - Lands' End Inc. of Dodgeville, Wis., is voluntarily
recalling approximately 6,000 children's parkas. The recalled parkas
are style numbers 79725 and 79721. Style numbers can be found on the top
line of a small label that is immediately behind the larger garment care
label. (On the reversible down parka, shown below at left, this label
will be found inside the pocket. On the fur-trimmed down parka, shown
below at right, the label can be found on the neckline.) The parkas
were sold through the Lands' End catalog, web site and certain Sears,
Roebuck and Co. retail stores from November 2002 through mid-January
2003 for $79.50 or below.
PROBLEM: The zipper box may detach, allowing the zipper slide to
detach. The small parts, if detached, could pose a risk of choking.
INCIDENTS/INJURIES: Lands' End, Inc. has received reports of the zipper
detaching, but no injuries have been reported.

Many purchasers were contacted directly by letter and provided with a
replacement parka. If you have not received a letter regarding this
product, please contact Lands' End to discuss the return, refund or
replacement of your child's parka.
