Association of Energy Engineers
Atlanta, Georgia
Date Joined: October 26, 2005

The Association of Energy Engineers, a nonprofit professional society of 8,500 energy engineering management professionals across the United States, is committed to providing training and certification opportunities to help building owners meet the ENERGY STAR Challenge. In 2005 AEE developed the Certified Green Building Engineer (GBETM) program. The establishment of the GBETM will make it easier to identify individuals with knowledge of the principles and practices of energy efficiency and improved building energy performance.

AEE actively encourages its members to join ENERGY STAR, and to use the EPA Guidelines for Energy Management, and EPA's energy performance rating system. AEE's participation in the ENERGY STAR Challenge reflects the association's commitment to encouraging superior energy performance in buildings.
