A U.S. Department of Energy program that provides financial assistance for conducting early development and establishing technical performance of innovative, energy-saving ideas and inventions.
- Investors' Circle
Investors' Circle is a network of investors who look for early stage venture deals that combine social/environmental returns with competitive financial returns. Investors' Circle members are interested in finding companies in the following industries: health care, education, environment, community development, and women- and minority-owned businesses.
- National Recycling Financing

An important part of EPA's research and development efforts, the SBIR Program makes awards to small, high-tech firms for research and development of cutting-edge technologies.
- Sustainable Jobs Fund (SJF)
A community development venture capital fund that makes investments in growth enterprises which create quality jobs in economically distressed regions of the eastern United States. SJF's strategic focus is on the recycling, remanufacturing, environmental and other sectors that are uniquely suited to generating employment for former welfare recipients and low-income individuals.

Service (RBS)
Administers a number of programs designed to help foster a strong business environment in rural America. The emphasis is on funding projects that create or preserve quality jobs and/or promote a clean rural environment. Funds can be used to finance the building of facilities.
