Some of the most significant work accomplished in the realm of environmental protection is completed at the state and local level. To facilitate and support these efforts, EPA provides funding as grants and cooperative agreements to qualified applicants on subjects that involve the environment. The grants and cooperative agreements provided by EPA are sums of money awarded to finance programs or a particular project or activity that aims to safeguard the natural environment and protect human health.
There are very significant administrative and programmatic requirements that must be met when applying for financial assistance. Potential applicants are encouraged to thoroughly review the information contained under Grants Info, specifically the Policy, Regulations and Guidance link.
