institutions, environmental groups, and other agencies to launch these

Small Business Gateway. EPA’s gateway to environmental information and

National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. NIOSH is the
federal agency responsible for conducting research and making recommendations

Hazmat Safety. Information on the transportation of hazardous materials by
air, rail, highway, or water.

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. NHTSA is responsible for
reducing deaths, injuries, and economic losses resulting from motor vehicle
crashes. This site includes extensive information on traffic safety.
Cross-Cutting Resources
The following are links to the federal government’s cross-cutting resources
and websites designed to help businesses comply with the range of federal regulations:
- Compliance Assistance Resources and Point of Contacts Available to Small Businesses. This
listing, required by the Small Business Paperwork Relief Act of 2002, includes a list of federal
agencies’ compliance assistance resources for small businesses and a list of agency points of
contact for the small business community.

Business.gov. This site, called "the Official Business Link to the U.S. Government," is managed by the
Small Business Administration.

USA.gov. The official U.S. gateway to all government
information. This is an inter-agency initiative administered by the U.S.
General Services Administration.
