The mission of the branch is to prevent, detect, diagnose, control and eradicate livestock diseases in order to promote the health and economic well-being of the livestock industries in Hawaii. Surveillance for regulatory diseases is conducted routinely to identify diseases which constitute a threat to the State's livestock industries and public health. The Livestock Disease Control
Branch consists of veterinary medical officers, livestock
inspectors, animal caretakers, management and support
staff responsible for regulating and enforcing the
