Cerulean Warbler Summit Workshop
December 17 - 19, 2002
National Conservation Training Center in Shepherdstown, WV
sponsored by the U.S. Geological Survey-Biological Resources Division and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
The cerulean
warbler summit workshop was held to formulate action plans for new
collaborative research, monitoring, and conservation activities to
address the needs of this species of concern. Sixty-five people attended
and represented Federal and State agencies, non-governmental organizations,
academia, and private industry, including several biologists from
Colombia, Venezuela, and Ecuador, where cerulean warblers winter.
Documents
distributed to or available to participants at the workshop are posted
temporarily on this website to make them available for review or consideration
by anyone who may wish to provide information or comments to the U.S.
Fish and Wildlife Service during the public comment period on the 90-day petition finding.
