UST/LUST Program Status In Tennessee

Tennessee was granted state program approval (SPA) in 1998. Six of the eight states in Region 4 have approved programs.

Number of cleanups completed 13,205 (national total: 377,019)
Number of cleanups in backlog to be completed 546 (national total: 102,798)

Percent of facilities in significant operational compliance with:
Release prevention requirements 85%
Release detection requirements 86%
Both prevention and release detection requirements 77%
