Nevada was granted state program approval (SPA) in 1998. In Region 9, Nevada and Hawai'i have approved programs.

Number of confirmed releases 2,436 (national total: 479,817)
Number of cleanups completed 2,255 (national total: 377,019)
Number of cleanups in backlog to be completed 181 (national total: 102,798)

Percent of facilities in significant operational compliance with:
Release prevention requirements 91%
Release detection requirements 86%
Both prevention and release detection requirements 80%
