Wetlands

EPA's Region 10 Office covers the states of Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington, as well as hundreds of tribes. Wetland ecosystems are managed by EPA and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. EPA investigates potential cases of illegal destruction of wetlands and permit violations. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is responsible for processing permit applications and issuing permits.
