Kids' Corner

Did you know that the Denver Region:

  • has the most states of any region. Ten in fact: Arizona, Colorado, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming.

  • stretches from the Canadian to the Mexican border. (Montana to New Mexico and Arizona)

  • includes the state with the highest percentage of Hispanic population in the U.S. In New Mexico, the Hispanic population is 42.1% of its total.

  • includes 76% of all American Indians living on reservation lands and has the ten largest American Indian Reservations in the country.

  • includes three states (Arizona, Colorado, Nevada) that gained representation in Congress after Census 2000.

  • has the top four growth states in the country (1990 – 2000). These are Nevada (66.3%); Arizona (40%); Colorado (30.6%); and Utah (29.6%).


  • contains the least populated state in the U.S. (Wyoming).
