Administrator Delivers State of The Agency Address![]() Posted April 20, 2005 STATE OF THE AGENCY GSA remains a strong, vibrant, and integral part of the federal government, largely because of its commitment to high performance and continuous achievement, Administrator Stephen A. Perry said in an April 20 State of the Agency address at National Headquarters in Washington, DC. The Administrator said that while there is room for improvement, GSA associates nationwide have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to helping the agency achieve its mission of helping federal agencies better serve the public. Perry focused on several key issues, including federal real property challenges, the reorganization of Federal Supply Service and Federal Technology Service, competitive sourcing, the Get It Right Plan for Excellence in Federal Acquisition, Networx, and the agency’s Customer Relationship Management program. Despite numerous challenges, he said the state of the agency is “confident and strong.” The Administrator also credited President Bush’s Management Agenda as the blueprint that has helped GSA become more citizen-centered and results-oriented. “I believe GSA associates have made significant achievements in the past few years and that we are picking up the pace to make more significant achievements this year and in the years ahead …” he said. Speaking to a capacity crowd, Perry praised GSA associates for helping to “meet the challenge of providing our customer agencies with the excellent acquisition services they need to achieve their missions of service to the American people.”
