Interpretive Summary: This is a Germplasm Release. No Interpretive Summary required.

Technical Abstract: Clones from a bovine mammary gland cDNA library identified as members of tentative consensus sequences (TC) unique to the Bos taurus gene index and with no assignment to the Eukaryotic Gene Orthologs (EGO) database were selected for full-length sequencing and radiation hybrid mapping. Clones (n = 16) were sequenced and incorporated into new TC assemblies. These data will be used to characterize previously unidentified transcripts and identify those which may represent genes unique to cattle.
