patient, only 31 percent felt comfortable
describing intervention

After Training
- 96 percent thought providing
referrals was a natural extension
of their role as dental health
providers.
- 85 percent believed they should
report suspected abuse to the
proper authorities.
- 74 percent thought family violence
screening questions should
be added to their intake form.
- Participants indicated significantly
greater understanding of the
dynamics of abuse and their legal
obligation.
