Quick Steps for Obtaining Seamless Data

1). In order for the Seamless Data Distribution System website to work correctly, you must be using a browser that accepts cookies. (Cookies can be enabled in the Preferences for your specific browser). If disabled, please enable before using the Seamless Data Distribution System.
2). On the Seamless Data Distribution System-Enhanced Home page, click on the View and Order Data Sets button button. This will open the Map Interface page.
Figure 1 shows where on the Map interface page the "Zoom Button" is and where the "Select Box" is. Click on the image to go to the Seamless Seamless Data Distribution System - Enhanced 3). On the Map Interface page the zoom button (see Figure 1 right) is active by default. Zoom into the general area of interest by drawing a box around the area. This is done by pointing the mouse at the corner of the desired area and clicking and dragging to the opposite corner. The box will be red as it is being drawn, release the mouse. The map will redraw the zoomed in area.
>Figure 2, shows the layers menu. Click on it to go to the Seamless Seamless Data Distribution System - Enhanced 4). Add reference layers to the map by checking the box next to the layer desired (see figure 2 right). The further the map is zoomed in, the more reference layers will become available. Once the desired layers have been checked, then scroll to the bottom of the layer list and click the Refresh MapRefresh Map Button Image button (bottom of figure 2). The new layers will then be added to the map.
5).Once the desired area has been decided upon, then the area can be defined for download. Click on the download button, (see figure 1 above right) at the bottom left side of the Map Interface page. Move the mouse to the desired corner of the area and then left click the mouse button and hold and drag. The box will be green. Release the mouse button and the process will begin for setting up the downloads. If the box turns red, then the area is to large for download and is available as Media.
6). The processing page will appear, and once that is complete the "Request Summary" page will appear. On this page will be the listing of all three data sets, the size of each download, and the download button. To change formats, size of download, and product desired, click on the Modify Data Request Button button. The "Request Summary" page can be book marked and used at a later time.
7). To download the data, click on the "Download" link. The data will then be extracted and processed. The time it will take to extract the data will depend on the size of the file and traffic on the system. Once the data has been extracted, then it can be downloaded.
