- U.S. Census Bureau Public Information Office media assets (audio files, photographs and videos) are free to use in news media and public information products.
- Media assets may not be used to imply the U.S. Census Bureau’s endorsement of a product, service, organization or individual. They are not licensed for commercial or advertising use.
- U.S. Census Bureau media assets cannot be sold to third parties.
- Please see “CREDITS” requirements below.
REQUESTS
An e-mail request is required for all photo and video orders. Requests must include:
- Contact person’s name
- Company/agency name and address
- Photo/video requested (including preferred format)
- Description of your company/agency
- Description of project and how assets will be used
Written requests can be sent to <pio.broadcast.services@census.gov>.
Audio segments on this Web site are available for immediate download and do not require a written request.
Audio – Audio files are available in .mp3 format via this Web site. Profile America, Al Dia and African American History Month CDs are available upon request (FedEx).
Photo – Low- and high-resolution images are available via this Web site, e-mail or on CD (FedEx).
Video – Completed programs are in Betacam SP, DV and VHS formats (FedEx).
